All right everyone. I'm too busy for this, but I feel impressed to put this out on record. I'm not okay with this. I do not support this, and I never will. There is no context nor rationalization that makes this okay in any universe.
The full text of the tweet in question is this:
"This is OUR Hemisphere, and President Trump will not allow our security to be threatened."
I could go on and on about the outdated Monroe Doctrine, about the false pretexts behind the upcoming invasions of sovereign countries, I could ask: who exactly is this "OUR"? And why do we think we OWN any country outside of the United States? Or I could talk at length about how Venezuela isn't a huge drug producer, and how they deliver less than 10% of the US's inflow of cocaine, and absolutely no fentanyl.
But ... just full stop -- we ALL know exactly what's going on here. Trump is going after resources. This is pure greed and lust for power.
Where have we seen this before?
